Fixed appliances: self ligating brackets
Self Ligating brackets
The orthodontic appliances used are compatible with the biomechanical needs of the orthodontist and the cosmetic needs of patient. Referring only to orthodontics, treatments carried out by us can be classified as: interceptive orthodontics, orthodontics in permanent dentition, pre-surgical orthodontics, pre-prosthetic orthodontics, periodontal orthodontics.
Self Ligating brackets
This type of fixed appliance consist of a series of brackets and tubes, bonded to the teeth with fluoride-releasing light-cured composites. With these brackets, in place of traditional metal and elastic ligatures to hold the wire in the depth of each bracket slot, there is a fourth wall, represented by a nickel titanium door: this allows a gradual transfer of forces from the orthodontic wires to teeth. Specific wires are made for the different tooth movement during orthodontic treatment. This fixedappliance can be used both for kids, teeangers and in adults, according to their malocclusion and treatment plan made by orthodontist.
